He was born as the youngest son of a small noble family in Italy. Neglected due to the large family-size he found his outlet in singing and music. The natural charisma he had as a love blueblood, made some consider the possibility he may in fact be some sort of siren, or witch.

So, when dragons attacked their town, demanding sacrifice in exchange for being safe, they didn’t hesitate to give up the “witch”. For a year Capella lived as a captive of the dragons, till good fortune (and the Gods Capella would say) turned his way and he was rescued by the Church of Illcrest.

From then on Capella lived within the church, eventually becoming a Kathreftis and a Perios. While he was quite happy with his place within the church, especially given they had saved him, it was clear not all shared this sentiment and during a mission a fellow Perios attempted to convince Capella to defect with him. Capella, hurt and angered at the betrayal of his fellow Perios  took matters into his own hands. It was after this incident Laktaros more formally became Capella’s mentor and Capella decided more firmly that he wanted a backstage/support role within the church.
