Introductory

     This group was originally founded back in 2018 under the name Dragons-and-Princes by a small group of mods who were new to the DA community. With the sole intent of creating a community who shared the same interests, we’ve invested hundreds of hours in developing it. And in the few years that it has been running, it had gone through various changes with the intent of better reflecting the overall theme of the group.

      In the beginning of 2020, we’d decided that we wished to move forward with the group and abandon the more casual/modern fantasy setting as it didn’t really fall in line with the core foundation of the group’s story.  Our members along with their characters will continue their story in Halcyon with this new and fully realized second saga of the story. It has also been structured in a way that allows new members to join without getting lost in the 3 years worth of history and story the group has created thus far.

     The current setting can be labeled as a blend of genres such as an epic dystopian fantasy that takes place after the fall of more modern civilizations. It has an 20+ rating as it will often carry dark and unsettling themes at times. Alongside this, the language in server can sometimes (though not often) be crude, inappropriate, or foul.

 

     Our prime focus as it always has been is to roleplay among each other and to progress the story based off everyone’s individual participation. Your IC actions will often impact the direction of the group’s story as well as other characters’ development.

 

Setting

      Halcyon, or rather the name a group of people coined for the strange island is one that’s origins trace back nearly 6 millennia ago. Its history is deeply rooted within different civilizations, particularly the Atlantic, Antarctica, and even parts of Northern America as well as Central Europe. However, over the course of these few thousand years, societies and their hierarchies had undergone changes that no longer resembled what they once were. With the story centered around the Dragons and Blue Bloods (formerly known as Adynum) in this world, the setting will primarily revolve around their actions and perspectives on the environments and people whom they interact with.
 

Story

        In a world overrun by conflict among magicals and non-magicals. Dragons and Blue Bloods, a race of humans with elemental magic, are in a constant struggle for power among each other’s presence. After the clash of different ideals bring upon the collapse of civilizations across the world, unrest between the races and other non magicals have become prevalent among society. The conflicting ideals between the two have forced them to repeat the same mistakes that their ancestors had once made in the past, believing that their word is resolute with one side being more worthy than the other. As a result of these differences, factions have formed, dividing the dragons and Blue Bloods into 5 major groups, each taking arms with different races who share the same resolutions for the future as them on where to proceed next.
