History
Adreav’s story began before he was born, in a small tribe of dragons, secluded somewhere in the cold winterlands of Russia. Once Vaalken, these dragons did not want to be caught up in the turmoils of war, and feared the violence of societies. They hid themselves away and kept outsiders at bay.
It was there that they had their first child, Nasya. 120 years later, Adreav was born. Caelion had fallen for the second time since a couple centuries ago (about 200 years before Adreav’s birth), so Adreav only heard tales of the efforts of humans and dragons united from his mother’s and father’s tongues. There they remained secluded, until their location was discovered and attacked by outsiders wanting their existences purged. Adreav, who was just a hatchling still, could never forget the confusion and terror.
With all but 25 left of their tribe, the family relocated and found a new home. They were all the more paranoid now- and ruthless. Their tribe continued as such for hundreds of years, and Adreav grew up wary of humans and Blue Bloods. Mother, having watched these years pass, didn’t like how his world views were growing up to be so restricted.
Adreav’s parents decided to steal their children away outside of the tribe and live in a more modern society, to see other races live as they do. Adreav hated it, and had a difficult time adjusting. Yet, the life experience did work to stretch Adreav’s horizons out further. He took to more hobbies and cultures outside of what he had known before, and learned to appreciate humanity and blue bloods.
Decades passed like this, and Adreav still carried bitterness and wariness inside his heart- but he seems finally willing to try and move on from it. He had become a fan of literature and research, and pursued careers in writing and in academia. From the outside gazer, Adreav looked to be a well-adjusted individual in society.
...Then, quakes occurred, the seas rumbled, and lives fell apart before his eyes- again. This time, it was all over the world, and Adreav cannot help but sympathize with the plight.
The story begins with Adreav, deciding to chronicle these unusual events while he travels, assisting in research and writing-based efforts of colleagues he (hesitantly) had accumulated over the years...
